Harley 883 Sportster

I see the prices of a Harley 883 Sportster is pretty reasonable and was wondering why the Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster is so much more money?

Isn't the Harley 883 Sportster and the Harley 1200 Sportster basically the same bike? I understand why the Harley XR1200 is more money with that nice front end and other higher quality Harley parts, and the same for the Harley Nightster, but not the standard Harley 883 and Harley 1200.

Can someone please explain this to me?

the 1200 has diffrent gearing as well as the added horsepower. stronger clutch springs. a lot of things that are not visible.
