Here's a couple more pic's

First one os the banjo bolt in place... I added arrows to show the flow of crankcase pressure.....

Second pic is the banjo bolt removed... you can see the hole thru the bottom and then out the upper end of the threads... not at the top, but well, you see...
Oh, the black tube you see in the pic...yours is not that visible, it is built into the back-plate and not visible at all. . all you can see is the exit hols on either side of the air intake leading into the carb.

so If your air cleaner dont have these...then that is a problem.

as for what damage could happen if regular bolts are used??? the pressure needs to go somewhere, so it could make a cover gasket leek, or pop the dipstick out, etc....

Hi, Tat
If you look closely at the photo of the hollow bolt Scott provided you'll see that the fixed hole is in a stepped (recessed) part of the hollow bolt...between it's thread and head...allowing the escaping pressure from the engine to kind of circle the hollow bolt inside the banjo fitting until it finds the hole in the banjo fitting to exit thru...into the hose leading to the air filter backing plate.

Or..in short ("whew") no the hole in the hollow bolt does not have to wind up in any particular fixed position when the bolt is tightened down.

k checked out air filter and yes ness took care of that i can see oil coming from the crankcase, little tunnel but it's stahling at a high RPM now. pulled it in the garage air filter off and held throttle so it was close to the higher RPMs and got flames coming outa the pipes and it kinda back fires. could i have a short ina coil, bad spark plug wire. i have no idea where to start with this. like isaid only at high RPMs. this all started after i cleaned my air filter. the mechanic told me to just wash it in simple green let dry and put it back on and now i got this prob. oh and i checked the plugs too. could the position of the electrode do this. stabin in the dark with that i think. could something be blocking fuel line? bad jet?? HELP.

Did you spray oil back onto the filter? of course I am thinking that it is a re-usable type of filter. maybe the oil that gets sprayed on there does 2 things... 1-is the fact that the oil captures small debris from getting thru, and 2- cuts down on air flow, just a little. (maybe)
If the filter was not completely dry, I suppose some water may have been drawn in there and is causing problems? removing the bowl and looking in there would tell you if that is the case. Water will settle to the bottom and you can see it. Which carb do you have?

stock carb, and yes reuseable k&n what kinda oil spray as i thought the same that too much air is entering and as for the water let it sit for 3 days, as i said only happens at the higher RPMs i can let the bike sit and no probs. the bowl of the carb has a stripped screw (fron idiot mechanic that started all this) but another ? i have a dyna duel coil ign a weak battery wouldn't caus something like this would it?? just wondering as i dont have a rev limiter on it and wonder if the weak battery isn't given enough spark to ignite.
