Default blown fuse

I have a 98 1200c. The headlamp and tail lamp are not working. The turn signals (front and rear) and the brake light works as does the horn. As soon as I turn the key to ignition the fuse blows. I'm new to motor cycles (2 years) and a bit of a beginner on elictrical problems so any help would be greatly appreciated

Default Re: blown fuse

Hey Steve,
I'd try a visual inspection of the lighting circuit. More than likely a wire has rubbed through on something metal long enough to get through the insulation, causing a short.

Good Luck!

P.S. Welcome to the forum!
