Wellllll............. uh, I still remember when a very lovely young lady , was settin' in the front seat lookin' oh so good, with a very revealing top, I was washing the hell outta that winshield untill her old man asked me " are you gonna scrubb a hole in that glass or what???
That was too funny.

I got lotsa stories from that gas station... like the time we played with explosives.... then there was the time a guy ran over a pump and it exploded... and then............ ah the good ole days.

Sorry meant to quote grampadoc....

Which pics are good?

The spray?
That was at one of our tank farms in eastern PA. Hit an appedature on the top of an idle 18" pipeline. It was sitting static with 700 psi on it. That is all GASOLINE!!! The truck and backhoe were still running! Somebody did the geometry on it with the size of the tank and crap. But lets just say it went high!

I also ride the bike to work... here's a shot last year on the wife's ole 883 at abt 2am

Chop?

Take a 30# fire ext and put this out... fueled by gas and kero. And this is before they pump it up

More pics of the pipeline burn baby burn

$1million dollar inline pc for integrity checks

I got tons and tons more...

Those are cool pic's.
That 'in-line pc" you show... I used to build fence.... we built one for PG&E location they called a "Pig Launcher" I'm thinking that gizmo you got there is the "Pig" they run it thru the pipeline and it x-rays the pipe as it travels thru. well, it found a weak spot just south of town here and the pip let go next to a house. everyone was fine, but interesting how they run equipment right thru the pipe alomng with natural gas.
I'm guessing the 'no-camera' rule didnt apply to that facility. When I worked at the Geo-Thermal plant up here in Sonoma County California, (The Geysers) they had us sign something that said we wouldnt bring in camera's. That was back in the early 80's, I dont know if it is still in affect.

Hay, rwb944p, looks like we hijacked your thread! lot's cool stuff got startred here, just by saying 'hello' to a new friend.

Very much jacked... Sorry.

A mod can split these posts off if they want..

The open pipe is a pig launcher or trap. The pig itself is a combo smart pig. Yes it is running constant xray and checking for dents, appendatures, and such. We have to setup AGM sites to aid in tracking it and using it to help pin point problems in the data (which would mean an issue on the pipe). The unit runs directly in the product and is caught at the other end in a similar trap.

My company had a valve site next to a residential house. (many but this one in particular). Well the valve leaked and we FILLED the 1500sq ft basement with product. That was many many many years ago. We had to put up a expensive remiadiation site on the premises, bought the house. We still own it. I have keys for it. Use to do weekly checks on everything. Gorgous house. All brick 1700+ sq ft all brick ranch in a coved area next to the river. You could fish off the back deck.

No problem Chris ( Gas Man ) The pictures were still great. Also, a super shot of your bike. Besides I'm getting an education regarding the petro industry. Regards Bob.
