Default Se stage 1 kit

Just received the se stage 1 kit w/power commander iii. I will be installing this on my 09 1200 c w/rush slipons w/1.5 baffles w/970 miles. I have 2 questions. Can i use the stock air filter with the stage 1 kit. I was thinking of upgrading to a k&n filter. Also will i have to remap the power commander iii when the weather changes (hot, cold, etc) or will it self adjust?. Any suggestions or comments will be helpful.

Your best bet is to use either the K&N or a S/E filter( doesn't need to be oiled and is high flow and is cheaper) to help the motor "breathe". No, you won't need to re-program with changes in the weather.
