I’ve been doing some research on Evo bikes and noticed that early Evos (1984-1989) use six clutch plates and later Evos use eight clutch plates. Why the change? Is this change simply the addition of two more clutch plates and associated hardware? Do the early bikes use the same plates as the later bikes?
