I found a black 1995 Heritage with 5000 original miles. This is the nicest used bike I have ever seen. It has all the stock bags, pillion, backrest and exhaust. The only add on is a V&H short shots exhaust, destine for ebay if I buy the bike. What is a fair price for this fine machine? Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Prices have been dropping hard in the last six months or so. But a nice clean bike is still desirable. How much can you buy it for?
I know prices are dropping and I would say if the bike had 25,000 miles on it, it would be at tops a $7500 bike. However, since it is in showroom condition, with really low miles I am willing to go more. Here is a photo. He is firm at $9600.

Do I have to come out there..???
Play the game Daddy-- tell him times are hard but you really want that sickle and you have $8,000 in your pocket.. (And a wee more in another pocket)
Remember,, the last guy that offered him 8 or 85 for it already bought another sickle so the seller doesn't Really have that guy to fall back on..
Play the game and Good Luck--- it sure looks good baby..

Frisco, He told me before I went out to look at the bike that he was firm on $9600 and that he doesn't need to sell the bike. I know how to play the game but this guy is firm on the price. The Kelley Blue book shows the high end at $9900, for what that is worth. I have been watching eBay and some bikes like this are going for a little over $10,000 and some top out around $9000 and not meet reserve. The bike is truly the best looking used bike I have ever seen. Probably too nice for me. I have been messing with vintage stuff for a long time and this will be the newest bike I've ever owned. Is it worth the $9600?

IMHO:
2 questions:
1. Is this the bike you want?
2. Can you afford the money?
If yes and yes, make yourself happy and buy the bike. No matter how little you pay for a bike, you'll find some one who paid less for a better one. Get over it and make yourself happy.
I paid $9595 (plus, plus, at a dealer) for a '94 RoadKing last year and never regretted a penny of it.

Looks like good advice. Let us know how it goes Haugster.

This is my Granddaughter Sky, age 7. Can't walk, talk, or feed herself but look at that smile. Anyone care to complain about their lot in life? Not me!
I guess I'd offend him...6 to 6500 is my top dollar. There's a ton of scooters on the market, and prices are dropping. Chris is right though, I've found things I just have to have...and have over paid for them. I was still happy.
That bike has sat for a long time, no telling what'll give when you revive her. I would take the position that it was run a few hundrd miles a year. Oil seals and the drive belt don't age well w/ out use. Take care, and good luck. Be sure to let us know...
The present owner bought the bike in '06 with 1500 miles on the clock. He just had it in for the 5000 mile service. He put on new brakes and a back tire at this time. There is not a drop of leakage on the rocker boxes or the base gaskets. I would take this bike over any new one the MoCo has to offer. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

I agree it's the better bike, and almost said so before, but didn't want to offend any new bike owners. I seem to have a knack for offfending. My '94 has been a great bike, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. That said, good luck!
