Question 1996 FLHTC oil change

This may be a silly question... but I'm looking for a drain plug location for an oil change On a 1996 Evo Electra Glide, I have the service manual but it does not seem to have an exploded view for the bottom cases. Motor is a stock 80" evo. thanks in advance for your time and help!

It's on the left side of the oil pan (under the transmission) the plug is on the front of the pan,the plug on the bottom of the pan on the right side is the transmission drain.

Yea what Ace said, it is not under the engine case, don’t pull out the plug there.

Hay Ace, and Harleycruiser
what you described is the same as my 2006 TwinCam 88. Are they the same as the 1996 Evo Electra Glide??
My other bike is a Revtech supposed to be patterned after the 1993 to 1999 Evo and the oil is drained from the oil tank.

My book on Evo's shows 1993 and newer to have a hose from the tank for draining.
now i am confused.....

Here's the page I found in my book.
it didnt say what particular bike, just 1993-on Evo

That hose dangling down from the tank on the left should be the drain hose.

Psycho...confusion solved...wrong diagram. The one you provided is for Softail models with horse-shoe oil tank under the seat behind engine..

That's the one. There is an o-ring (p/n 11105) under the head that needs to be replaced while you're at it.
