There were not many choices for our 1990 FLHTCU other than the Mustang Regal Touring seats. I found that having a nice, long haired sheep skin helps as well, and in the event you do start hurting you just need to fold the sheep skin and ride like that for a half hour or so. It's not the miles so much as the amount of time sitting and how bumpy the ride is. We don't fasten the sheepskin, and in the hot summer sun we keep it draped over the back on to the tourpak to keep the sun from making the seat too hot while it is parked. We live within an hours ride to Pat Garret's Sheepskin outlet (Outerwear Shearling Coats Sheepskin Coats ) and stop in once or twice a year to see what they have in stock. The largest ones are about $79.00 and will cover from the console to the top of the tourpak, about 70-73" down the center. I have read posts from some fellows that use a hand towel folded up to give you a break, and help keep you dry.

seems like a lot of work moving the sheepskin all the time. gotta be a better way. its almost cheaper to take your stock seat pan to a seat shop and have them build you what you want. I know that thats what i will do from now on!
300.00 plus dollars for le para seat
hurting but after 30 miles
developing hemorrhoids
140.00 to remove seat cover and add memory foam.
realizing mistake of not getting custom seat made
priceless!!!!

wideglide, if you only spent $440 for the perfect seat then you won. Not to mention the Le Pera is about the nicest looking chair around. Did the memory foam do the trick? Rereading the posts just answered my last question.
