On my 80" evo I used Autolite 4265 because they were easy to get at every Advance Auto Parts store, usually Advanced Auto had them hanging out in the aisle pre-packaged with 2 in a pack. When I went to a 113" engine I could not get an Autolite in the right heat range, they no longer have a 4264 so I tried the Autolite "64" but still hand more pinging than with a NGKBPR6ES which is a little colder plug. I think that in some circumstances, having the correct heat range may be more important than brand. I understand Champion has a very good selection of various heat ranges. Some guys pay more for the longer lasting plugs but at $3.00 for a pair of plugs, I have no problem changing them more often.

I put Harley Screaming Eagle triple platinum plugs in my 04 Road King 30,000 miles ago and it still runs and starts perfectly. I only did this because i had to use up a gift certificate. I have had good luck with platinum plugs in my pickups also.

My last tune up I put Autolite 4164's in my Super Glide.

I used a scientific study and good sound reasoning for this plug. It was the only one for my bike at the local auto parts store

My bike seems to run better with this plug. But that could be my imagination

I've got a 94 FLSTC with EV27, Dyna2000 ign, Cycle Shack 2 3/8", and a reworked Woods CV carb. I've been running Bosch DP8 platinum without a problem. NAPA or Auto Zone.

Nope, not your imagination. ANY brand new spark plug will make your bike run better. That's the whole thing, see.... Guys have bikes that are in need of new plugs, they put in the latest greatest XYZ-Super-Gizmo-Whizbang $12-each plugs, and suddenly they're sold on them! So then we see them posting on these forums what great and terrific end-all hot-shot spark plugs they are! When perhaps the reality is.... they just needed new plugs. The $3 dollar ones would give them the same effect. Nome sain? I go with the $3 plugs and change them every year.

The Bosch DP8's are $3.00 ea or $11.20 for a four pack. At that price I change mine when I change the oil.
