I'm looking for a new exhaust system for my 96 Fatboy. I would like to use factory head pipes but unfortunately I do not have them. Can any of you tell me if any Fatboy exhaust will work? I've seen sytems posted that supposedly fit from early 1990's to 2006. Do TC exhausts fit older EVO models? Some of you suggested before to use a set of drag pipes and mufflers but I'm having a problem finding mufflers that fit the existing brackets. Noise ordinances are being enacted all over and I don't think my V&H Longshots with baffles are quiet enough.

I recently switched out exhaust on my 97 evo flsts for a 03 tc flsts. They fit no problem. I only used the head pipes back and put some drag pipes on. Check ebay, you'll find all kinds of stuff for sale - cheap. Just be careful of who the seller is and ask lots of questions. I'd keep the vance and hines though in my opinion.
