Default matching or tuning intake to exhaust

2002FLHT carb, SE203 cams, dynojet kit, K+N--my question is how to get best sound and performance for my bike. I rusted out original stock header pipes and the E-Series slip-ons. I just want a deep sound, but am worried about the wrong exhaust hurting performance. I like the look of 2 sides of pipe vs. 2 into 1 leaving 1 side empty. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Kerkers with Mikuni baffles work well. You can tailor the sound using different endcaps.
