Default rush 2" slip-ons or v&h 2-1 big radius??

i'm in such a dilemma, every time i make up my mind about whether to get the v&h big radius 2-1 or the rush 2" slip-ons,i read soemthing good about the other one.i've heard 2-1 is a good performance boost (plus the big radius exhaust is eye candy),i know the rush slip-ons are less expensive,i've heard they both sound really good.so which is the better way to go??

I've seen this (or very similar) questions asked many a time on this forum. And the answer is pretty much always the same... go with what you like. If they both sound and perform well, go with what catches your eye and is within your budget.

It's all about what makes you happy without breaking the bank.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

Bluebob summed it up well. Hang around where riders congregate and see what sounds pleasing to your ear. I just last week installed the 2" Rush's and to my ear they are a little too loud. What is too loud to me might be just what you are looking for...or maybe not. If I lived in town I would be concerned about tickets for excessive noise.

I have had Rush pipes on mine for over 1 year now and love them. Yes I got the large baffles and it's loud but I do have to say it's a deep sound. something you may want to check with our dealer, I was told by my dealer that the baffles on Rush pipes can be changed at any time and very easy to change out, no remaping at all. They are about $50 - $60.
I could be wrong on this but I thought they went from a 1.5 - 2.5, I put the largest ones on and I do have to say, when I start it everyone knows it. I have many people ask what kind of pipes because they loved the sound of them. Try and listen to them if you can, maybe your dealer has some on a bike.
Rush used to have a web site that you could listen to them but for some reason I can't find it any more.

I hope this web site works for you.
http://www.epiflex.com/
It took a little while but I found it.
Just remember, while you are watching the guy pull away on the bike, watch how far he is and you can still hear it. that may give you a better idea of how loud they are.
I have the 2.5's and they are very loud.

I don't know why my last log did not go but I will try this again.
Here is the link for Rush, http://www.epiflex.com/
If you scroll down the page you will see where you can listen to the different sizes. It gives you an idea of what they are like but they are more deep then what is sounds like on the site. Kind of watch as the guy takes off on the bike and notice how far away he gets and you can still hear them. That is a good way to judge the size you want.
