Default Rush Slip-Ons 2" to 1.5"

When I converted my Ultra to gear drive cams I installed Rush slip ons w/2" baffles. I found these to be too loud for my tastes. At 60 mph they produced an irritating "drumming", almost like a knock. It just reminded me of a clapped out car with no muffler.
I ordered 1.5 in. baffles and installed them in place of the 2' ones. I am very pleased with the results. Much better sound. I just wanted to pass this info along. A simple baffle change can make a world of difference.
This seems to be the best combo for my 88 in. engine and Andrews TW21G cams. Those with a big bore kit or more radical cams might need the bigger baffles.
Everybody ride safe and God bless. Sincerely: Shovelmike.

This is my Granddaughter Sky, age 7. Can't walk, talk, or feed herself but look at that smile. Anyone care to complain about their lot in life? Not me!

Thats why they make different sizes. I still like my 2" although after 15k they got louder and I called the factory because they said the packing would last a life time.
The baffles were pulled twice during install by dealer because they had air leaks from wrench clamping wrong. Pulled them to check where the muffler clamped to header pipe, he might have messed up the packing making them burn up faster if he didnt take time to put them in carefully!!. surely not...
Anyway Rush factory overnighted my new packing at no charge, can't beat that service..... after I installed the new packing they are like new. quiet when crusing but talk when you crack it.
