A pair of slip on's is an economical way to gain some HP and great sound. BUB 7's look good, haven't heard any yet. Money is always a factor so Rush's fit the bill for me and the quality is good.
Power Commander was my choice but if I had the bucks the Thunder Max looks really good.
Arlen Ness Big Sucker was the best choice for me on a budget. If money were no object a Doherty Power Pacc would be on there.

1. You want dual and they need to be tied together. Single air signal is vibration; duals tied in are smoothing factors. Any pipe will do as long as it is tied in and smooth running, the throaty noise is who builds what noise you like. Smooth is not power struggling but taking advantage of the action/reaction principal. Vibration is not even pulses and hunt fatigue down your arms.

2. Nothing is needed. You are still in the restriction mode. You still have quiet mufflers. You still have a less restrictive air cleaner that, yes, it is still in the way. You are not running a velocity stack and open pipe. Therefore, no to the piggy systems is to educate you like you asked.

3. Again, your engine is going to cause nothing more than the same event to happen sooner or say the effect happens = Faster in time. No racing secret, no hp increase. The bike has a preset torque and HP rating if you pulled off the muffler and carb/injector. The math reads bore/stroke/times 14.7 psi = Fuel Trim.

You see guys pull pipe, set the fuel trim richer and did they change the fuel pressure? No. Did they bore the cylinder? No. Did they port the heads/cut the seats/use cams and I do not want to add each individual HP gain from the preset is no, most do not go that far and still hang that piggy on.

But, do you understand education wise, what the, "preset" is all about? That is what I am trying to educate you with; are the basic fundamentals to the computer bike. This is now a very complex and a much easier bike to work on, believe it or not.

As long as I throw you the basics and the fundamentals in my posts, the other members may add or dispute the absolutes. Or, bring the technical in about straight answers. I speak computer bike basics. These are my posts and that is how I run my educational loophole to you.

When I speak, I have to back up every word I say. So, in the abstract, you need to follow the steps. The steps play out as a caterpillar leg is one step at a time.

So, do you have compression first? Yes, she is going to run. Do I have spark? Yes, she is almost there to fire off. Do I have fuel? Yes, it is fresh and flowing knowing my 3 variables I die with are my education.

You question why you need that piggy if it runs so well. This is that different drummer speaking as in, I have been dare in the envelope of the danger zone and I am clean as a whistle.

I've tested the waters to prove out my factory service manual. Would you like to be educated on the analog sound and the backup sound of the redundant, better known as the digital?

I specifically showed this for testing purposes. That means I read the FSM and she does read exactly as stated in the manual. What I did I suggest you do not do or try. So, that code page is more or less my backup to your computer type questions.

The bike only works one way. Know it, or sit on the side of the road >

These are hard core fundamentals and are found in the FSM. This is open book. So we are both on the same page.

Just here to pick your brain as I leave my carbon print.
