Default Less noise, no loss of performance

I have a 99 FLHRCI with a Harley installed Screaming Eagle 2 kit, with their pipes. What pipes are recommended now to really lower the noise but not the performance?
Thanks.

I think their Screamin' Eagle pipes are about as low as you get except for stock from what I have heard. There might be some pipes out there that give more free flow without more noise but I am not sure that is possible.
I've also been wrong before.
Anyone else?

Hi Rich

If yours are 2-2 with the cross-over connection, I personally would keep and run them.. I run a set and I think they are superior to the basic 2-2..

There are soooo many options that are all just basically the same..
You see,, headers are simply headers and most headers are nearly identical to what you have now..
A good option for you is to get some high-flow slip-on Muffs like KromeWorks, CycleShack etc.. some of our guys will have other good sugg's.. Why buy headers when you already have headers.?
Just something to consider..

If you want to change the entire system,, headers & Muffs,, there are the tuned 2-1 systems and the Stepped Header exhaust systems like RineHart..
I have heard that they are both very good but I don't personally know.. Some of our guys might though..

In my experience I've found that, for My motors, slightly louder than stock muffs (I often modify or make my own) on stock headers (although I sometimes lengthen or shorten them) Do give me more power/perf in the Rpm ranges I run in most..

Have a ball
