| | Well sorry guys, been working alot lately. Latest is, I spoke with HD. They told me if I put the Power Commander on my bike, it will void my warranty. To maintain warranty, I must purchase their $500 race tuner, then pay for the time it takes to set it up on their dyno!! What to do?? |

| | Somewhere in the 4 million posts on this site there is an explanation about what HD can restrict you from doing concerning their "warranty"...
I don't remember who posted it,,, BUT, I think HD is lying to you...
Someone here knows that post..!!

| | Thanks Frisco. Again I am without knowing what to do, or can not do. I just want to enjoy my ride, and I hate being limited or controlled by HD's ECM. Hide site teaches me that Fuel Injection SUCKS! I don't change altitudes, cause Texas is FLAT! So the need to change carb settings is eliminated. But for now, I wish someone would step up and help a brother of the HD world out. Cause the only ones getting rich is the HD guys who own the shops. |

They are lying to you. Race Tuner and Power Commander do pretty much the same thing. If something happened HD would have to show that the Power Commander caused the problem or you installed it wrong making the bike catch fire or sumtin.
Just like when they said if you use other then HD motoroil it voids your warranty. Wrong. The law says you do not have too. I think it was the
Magneson Moss Act.
ONE: A company can't deny warranty coverage because an after market part was installed UNLESS that part caused a problem and TWO: A company CANNOT require the customer to purchase service from the DEALER in order to keep the warranty in effect.
Check your intake for leaks with the WD40. |

| | Similar 'problem' From experience, I found that with my Rinehart Flush pipes that any exhaust leak will cause a decel pop. Even though there are no leaks now, I do get, on a hard decel, a pop or two. But one leaky gasket and all h*** breaks loose. I assume that leaks have been checked. Just my two cents. |

| | I checked again today. Sealed pipes with copper permatex silicone. Installed new gaskets between head pipes, and pipes themselves, torqued to specs. All is secure!! NO LEAKS!!!

| | Sorry, you need a tuner.
Things we used to do with a $2 jet we now need an expensive electronic gizmo for.
Progress.....
Get a Power Commander or maybe a Terry box with the air fuel add-on.
With the PC you can load known maps, no dyno required.
The Terry (if I remember right) reads it's own o2 sensor and self adjusts.
You can install the PC in a few minutes, the Terry take a bit longer and needs a bung welded onto the pipe.
Vance and hines makes one too, and there are others. |

| | | Try Cobra's FI2000. It worked for me. No download. Just three screws to adjust. |

| | Hey guys, I put the Power Commander on the bike, and the decel pop is gone!!! I was hoping it could have been fixed without the extra expense. But at last it is fixed. NOW I JUST HAVE TO GET THE IDLE SET RIGHT!!! WHAT NEXT?? It tends to take about 5 seconds to come down to idle, after I get off the throttle. Simple modifications to the pc, supposedly? Finding a MAP that works just right is time consuming. But progress is being made!! | | | |
