| | Re: Post Your Motorcycle Photos Here Nice shots of the bike, 83XLX, I see you stepped up to a hotter coil, slightly longer and better shocks, chrome exhaust, and gaiters on the forks. Is that a catch can or filter ...combo of the two that I see on top of the cam case?
Love those XLX's, very often at gas stops I get questions from older gents who are reminiscing about the old days when they rode an XLCH. They have that same rawboned appeal.

Please join me in this prayer daily.
This is my Granddaughter Sky, age 7. Can't walk, talk, or feed herself but look at that smile. Anyone care to complain about their lot in life? Not me! [IMG] [/IMG] |

Yes, lots of mods - SE air filter assembly, coil, plug wires, and fork brace, Progressive front springs, FXDX rear shocks, chrome XLH exhaust with Dyno-Power slip-ons, worked over intake manifold & carb with Andrews accelerator pump, Barnett clutch, Lockhart oil cooler, drilled front discs, EBC kevlar pads, replica XLCR front fender, Honda GB500 fork gaitors, slightly bobbed rear fender, HD sport seat.
Not sure what you're looking at (catch can), but it's probably the chrome 2-way carb support bracket. I did run an additional breather hose from the bottom of the cam case breather area, though.
I look at the XLX as the successor to the XLCH, too. The serial number sequence on them even begins "CCH"...

Have a mustang seat, soft tail bars, andrews 26G cam, rush slip ons and screaming eagle air cleaner with a pcIII. I sure enjoy this bike. It is my fourth Harley and I think i will try to keep it around for awhile. | | | |
