Default Scenery shots from a road trip

After reading about the Dragon at Deals Gap in NC, it reminded me of Sequoia National Park. This dont even come close to Deals Gap, but it is a great ride for those out in the west.

I took this ride with my wife on my '06 Ultra. It was the first long trip we took on the bike. over 800 miles in 2 days. Gotta love it.

I suppose we could post scenery shots here to let folks see the roads in your neck of the woods....

Uncle, that is a very nice shot, and looks like a splendid ride as well. Was Auntypsycho afeared?

Speaking of 'blondes' I wanted to take my bike to the "Wednesday Night Drags" and I kidd you not..... she asked me..... "So When Are They?" man oh man I about died laughing, that was so funny..... I could hardly get the words out when I told her..... "Uh Right after Tuesday???"

she's a great gal, been together over 20 years.....and sill going. I dont ride like the "Psycho" I used to be, when we first met. I guess I mellowed out a bit.

Funny how a guy starts to mellow out just when the reflexes decide they ain't like they used to be. Or is that just me?

Wow, that picture was taken on 02/02/2014, I must have overslept Seriously, you guys that actually have some nice terrain to ride are making us Fl guys jealous, it's all flat down here. My sister lives in Arkansas and I know they have a yearly event(I think it's in Bentonville) that is on my list of places to get to. I'm ready to head for the hills!

Yup, My "playground" reaches out up to 300 - 400 miles in any one direction. that makes for a lot of area to explore on a weekend. I cant remember how high that climb was, but we started at approx 500 ft above sea level and the top musta been around 6000 ft. in just a few miles.

I know the Rose mountain between Lake Tahoe and Carson City tops out at 9000 feet. what an outrageous view!!!. Been over that one at night and during the day. Central California north and south of Sacramento is perty flat, but it's all hills on either side. I still want ot come ride the east coast some time. Last time I was over there was in the early 70's around Fayetteville /Pope Air Force Base. My dad was in the Air Force.

This fine country has a lot to offer, and we all get the chance to see if from the back of a bike. How lucky are we!!

This was today...a small town called Mendocino looking out to the south and west at the Pacific Ocean. It never got above 55* out there and windy, very windy, felt like gusts up to 50 mph blowing the bikes around a bit. had to watch out for falling branches as we made our way back thru the coastal forrest back home. Saw a lot of critters too: a bobcat, lots of wild turkeys, a few deer etc. What a ride. only 250 miles total.

Very nice picture, Uncle! I think that town was named after a famous tune, yeah?
