You are 100% Correct. We all have the right to dis-agree. No...??

"No" means "yes" and "Yes" means "No" in ugh... I forget what language.

Yup I get it... I got a cold. Little slow in the mellon. Point taken.

Yak at ya later

Very disappointing..
Frisco and others:
Sorry you found our post deletions disappointing. I don't mind pissing matches and the occasional rant, and , Lord knows, everyone can't and shouldn't have the same opinion about stuff. I think I am very loose about attempting to remotely approach any kind of censoring.

I feel "Our Troll" has created a "Special" set of circumstances. His thought process is very diseased, and part of the process is the more space, credence, or argument we give him/her/it, the more it spews its "Special" venom. My feeling is the troll should have no forum here at all. He has his own blog, though I realize so few people in world pay even remote passing attention to it that he/she/it has to come here for our warm embrace.

But American Iron is not in the Nanny business. We are not interested in wiping the butts of trolls no matter how sorry some of us here are for them. We are in the business of business and are trying to run the best motorcycle oriented forum we can put together for you. That said, I DO like JCourneyaP's suggestion of having a forum "Not For The Weak" where we could consider putting the "Special" items. I may or may not do that in the future depending on how I feel after the next onslought.

Frisco, we look up to you here at American Iron, and we regret disappointing you in this matter.

I actually suggested something similar along with the suggestion that we use moderators back when Floodgates was still riding his 1st personality and I was quietly hiding in the background. Would have gladly mentioned this to the Administration had I known how to get in touch with them. Seems I haven't mastered that technique yet because whatever I send is returned to me undeliverable. How about sending me an e-mail or pm with instructions on how to contact The Man(or Woman). Also the original post containing this info seems to have disappeared also. With all the alter-ego's in it, it's quite possible it is lining the forum trash bin.

I am the adminstrator, and I can be easily contacted by clicking on the big yellow "Contact Us" link next to the big American Iron logo at the top of every page. Adding moderators is easy to say; harder to do. You need good, sharp people who are mature enough to not go off half-cocked in the heat of battle. They need to be a little sneaky, and employ the tactics of private investigators. We need people that are interested enough in the forums to be regular and valuable contributors to them. I think I have put together a nucleus of a great team of moderators, and I'm interested to see what they do.

Man, that was quick! I should whine more often. Actually, thanks for responding to my little rant. I have tried the big yellow "Contact Us". Maybe I didn't ask the right question. Anyway, thanks for taking the steps to improve the site. I'm sure that even with the mods, staying on top off instigators will be a full-time job.

If you tried the link recently, I think our email system may be a littled fogged up. They completely changed the server on us a little while ago, and I don't seem to get as much mail as before the changeover -- so I might be losing some stuff. I know I don't get any porn any more, and that was the high point of my day!

Admin - thanks for pulling the threads - they were really going no where and they were running all over in 5 or 6 different places. I didn't know about the contact us thingy - I don't think I looked all the way up there. But anyway great job. we all get passionate about our rides and how we feel - sometimes people hide behind anonymity to be big shots - it happens in all the boards and sooner or later they get pulled and banned.
Thanks for adding a few more moderators - that will help..

Is there a list of moderators or are they going incognito?

I think all moderators should be issued black leather jackets and dark sun glasses when they are under cover
