We are looking into the cause of this and hope to have ...
Well that explains the lack of posts! I figured everyone was out riding or sumtin. You know they have some Automation available that will page out if the sight is down or server is not responding. Sure you folks at AIM dont wanna be attached to the site by pager? Better then enjoying the weekend huh?
Quite alright, Buzz. I did miss the site badly and am very pleased to see it back up and running. Hey..We truly appreciate all you folks do to make it available for us, and at no charge to boot. Sincerely: Shovelmike.

Please join me in this prayer daily.
This is my Granddaughter Sky, age 7. Can't walk, talk, or feed herself but look at that smile. Anyone care to complain about their lot in life? Not me!
Buzz
I wouldn't have minded so bad if it wasn't freezing cold and snowing outside. I would have jumped on the Road Glide and had something to post in "Who Rode Today" when your tech department got the site back up and running.
Wow, I was lost with out it...I need to get a life and winter sucks
Thanks for the "fix"
cheers!

I too didn't know what to do with out the sites being up and running. I was wondering around aimlessly through the house bumping into things. So now I am starting a support group to help us get through these trying times if the site would happen to go down again. Details to follow.
To all:
I am heartened by your comments regarding the usefulness of the web site. Here's a brief run down on what happened for those that are interested.
Briefly, our site is database driven and requires the program MySQL to update and query the database for us, and translate this to a readable web format -- very complicated. Last weekend our server host decided to upgrade MySQL. As most of you know, running a computer requires frequent software updates to stay current. This update took about 6 hours to accomplish, so it was no trivial thing. The web host decided to make the upgrade over the weekend during non-peak hours figuring it would be in "off season", and not impact too many people. What he overlooked was that our forum programming saw the new MySQL code and said to itself, "What the ...", and then rolled over belly up. It would have been nice if the web host had advised us he was going to make the changeover because then I could have shut the site down while the upgrade proceeded, and then restarted everything after it was completed. Long story, short...we would have still been DOA for the weekend, but at least we would have had a cheerful note saying so, so that it looked like we knew what we were doing (which we rarely do, but we fake it while we make it).

What I heard: "wakka wakka wakka wakka database wakka wakka wakka wakka wakka software wakka wakka wakka wakka off season wakka wakka wakka DOA wakka wakka (wakka wakka). "

John 1:14
It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD. ----Abraham Lincoln
