I see we have a member who likes to point out various bikes and parts on eBay here.
I am ok with this so long as it doesn't get out of hand with self-promotion of items for sale and forum members find value with it. |

So long as he doesn't overwhelm this place with his ebay listings I'm cool with it.
Who knows, he might even bring something cool to our attention. |

I dont like it! If I am interested or looking for a bike I can find Ebay or a number of other Ads on my own.
Maybe "Bargain Hunter" can put these in the "Classified Ad" section of the forum for those that may need assistance in Bike searches. Or how about not putting them on this site at all. |

I regard any unsolicited advertisements for products, services, etc. that are clearly beyond reason to be SPAM, which along with Porn, we don't care for here at all. I vote to ban Bargain Hunter, but since Buzz is OK with his posts, and he is the Boss, I'll let it pass. How do the rest of you feel? |

It's not my call. But it does seem that both "Bargain Hunter" (note the name) and "ManFriday" (servant?) ain't here to "chat"  . I retired from advertising...I know advertising,when I see it...these guys have been doing a LOT of it...and little, if anything more..........

He HAS posted some pretty cool bikes, but it sure does take up a lot of threads. Perhaps go the classifieds route AND just post a daily rundown instead of inundating us with a new post every half hour.

"Man Friday" is an RSS Reporter who automatically collects H-D news items from different external sources. All of "his" posts go into a forum called "H-D in the News." We felt our members would like to keep abreast of any interesting news items. Occasionally he goes to sleep and forgets why he is out there; but mostly he deals with news, which can also mean collecting press releases from various companies. |

Like I said  by it all..it's not my call. Thanks for explaining the above. I can undertstand/appreciate THAT coming thru occasionally. But,it still seems to me that BlueBob (posting-above) may have something there regarding ebay issue,for example. Which,is a whole 'nuther (?) story in my mind   anyhow.
