There is a function in V-bullieten that will do this for you. If you open the admin panel, you will see the announcement button in the left margin.
You can set it to show on the top of every section, every page, or just once.

Appreciate the help. I like to use the announcement function for important messages that I don't want others to miss. Since you have several choices for displaying the announcement, depending on which option you choose, the option will determine how often our members have to see the message. Something like this they should only have to see once or twice. I posted it as a thread in the motorcycle types forums so everyone who rides has an opportunity to show off their bike and their significant other. If you are not interested in reading the message, just ignore it, and its gone. In the next day or two the message will work its way down the thread list to where it is no longer visible. It is no big deal, really. Thanks for your input. It is nice to know there are other users familiar with vBulletin that I can query if I get stuck on stuff. Ocasionally I get stuck on stuff. Thanks again.
