Sounds like a great idea! Here's my 2 cents worth.
There is alot of talent out in the real world. Few can do it all and the rest are damn good at certain things. I have seen some of the nicest motorcycles come from guys working in their spare time out of their garage with some pretty tight budgets. Part of the satifaction of building a bike, next to riding it, is having others appriciate the work. A builder may not be the best writer or photo guy but with some help putting together the presentation as professional as the build, everyone could enjoy these machines. And learn from the experience of all involved. You may be able to end up with a mini website for the bike and or builder and link it from the AIM website.
Keep after it!

That is exactly how it would work; bike owner would be teamed up with writers, and photographers.
The idea is to get the three all in the same area of the country.
They would write a story about the bike, shoot photos, and submit them to the freelance workroom where they would be proofed, edited and submitted for publication both to AIM and to possibly a new online magazine.
The plan is that the workroom will have at least four buttons.
One for submitting bikes, or article suggestions. One for writers and one for photographers to post there location, and express an interest in participating.
Bikers could seek out writers or the other way around.
Once the article was written it would be submitted with the last button, the submit button, and everyone would have a chance to read and comment on what would make the article better.
I think we can produce magazine quality articles, although Chris will be the final judge of that.
Anyone involved with the program will have new titles.
Instead of being a member or senior member you would be senior member Editor AIMAG.com, ect.
You would also be able to just submit an article that you have written, it would be looked over, edited with your approval, then submitted.
We haven’t worked out the style of the magazine yet, it probably would be a lot like the sister publication www.caimag.com or it might just be a library.
We are also going to go through some of the old post, and consider them for rewriting and submission.
I know there is a lot of good information, in this web page that has just gotten buried.
I know there is a TC cam tensioner article that comes to mind, that is buried.
We want to bring it up, into the workroom by the original poster or us finding it and contacting the writer.
We are also going to encourage anyone to participate, so if you have something that you want to write about, a tech article a tour article or a how to, bike story, get busy, start writing.
I know I’m digging out my old ones.
I know we can make this work.
This is still in the early stage of development, and so many good suggestions are coming in from forum members it is constantly changing, adding features.
We are not rushing into anything; Buzz wants to do this right, and I agree.
And remember at this time this is just a idea.
And yes we are very lucky to have the knowledge VRQUICK is sharing, he is absolutely an asset to this forum.
