The reason it could cause the bike batt to blow is that it is too small to handle the larger cold cranking amps.

Well if thats the case warm the car up first then they will be "Warm" cranking amps. Maybe the smaller battery will accept it cuz it warm comfortable and secure just like a ........ Oh never mind.

Battery dont work no more just throw it in the same fire as Biker Bitches and Bozze's tire.

JC, I never took you for a highly sensitive individual. I was a cuddler till I spent a night in the klink.

I have jumped off a car, in the shop we have a high amp heavy duty car battery for jumping bikes and never had a issue.

A larger battery may have the capability of providing 300 or more amps, but it will deliver only what is demanded. If the bike starter needs 30 amps to crank, that's what it will draw from the battery. However, if there is something wrong...starter locked up, short in the circuit somewhere etc. then bad things can happen. It would seem, then, if some folks had something "blow up", the higher amp-hour battery just exposed the flaw. Sort of like a fuse.
