Default Neutral Light Indicator

MY INDICATOR WILL HAVE THE "N" IN ALL GEARS BUT NEUTRAL. I BUILT THIS HD MY SELF AND ALL OTHER ELECTRICAL WORKS GREAT AND NO PROBLEMS BUT THE NEUTRAL LIGHT INDICATOR. ANYONE....HELP!

Just warn anybody that rides your scoot that you built it backwards if you can get the wires uncrossed.

HDFXSTI: the neutral light comes on when the wire is grounded. Therefore, the neutral post is grounded when the tranny is in neutral. You can check easily by unhooking the neutral wire from the post. The N light should go out. Ground it anywhere and it should come on. Or check to see if the post is grounded when the tranny is in neutral with your ohm meter.
If the connection is mixed up inside the tranny, go with majic's post. Just get used to it being backwards until the next overhaul...
