Question Evo Stator

Hey all,

A buddy of mine's stator crapped out. He has 93 Heritage EVO. I have a brand new EVO stator in its package which has been packed away for years. Dont know why I have it. Just remember a shop telling me to "take it its brand new". It has the bar and shield with an HD in it and a part # of 062994. Doesnt seem like an HD part # to me. Also wondering if its a 28 or 32 Amp unit. Anyone familiar with this part? If I can help him out and save him cash why not. He's currently on hard times. Its his if he can use it. Thanks. MIke

Hello Botz. I agree, that doesn't appear to be a H-D part #. I'll do a little checking around and let you know if I can come up with anything. I truly hop you and your family are having a great Memorial Day.
The good things about today here is lots of rain, the lawn and the garden are doing great. The downside is that my gravel road is a huge mud hole and puts the kabosh on riding today.

ShovelMike,,,Im thinking its a production date. Time frame would be right. But bar and shield with HD in it. Hmmm. If it lines up we'll slap it in. Too bad it rained by you. Got an early morning ride in then canoeing down the Nissequogue River with the family. Nice day. Botz

Big BotzMan

Most likely all you need to know is if it's Female plug will accept your buds Regulators Male plug..

Then after installation simply check DC volts to the batt, it's plugs continuity and AC voltage out-put..

Make sure to snip off the old broke stators plug at the stator base..

Crimp covered ends on the wires and you have an extention to do stator tests without having to reach in and around the (maybe hot) motor to plug-in Multi-meter plugs..

Frisco...Thanks.

He ran a check with a meter already and its shot. We are gonna do just what you said. Throw it in and do all the voltage tests. Thats a great idea about the extension plug. Thanks to all once again. MIke
