First, fully charge your battery and then have it load tested to see if it is actually your battery. If your battery is good you'll have to have your voltage regulator and your stator checked. In laymens terms it's known as the charging system.

Definitely not the battery that's the problem. I'm with Evo on the voltage regulator, but only a good, thorough testing is going to show it.

Hmmm, probably not your problem but something to think about...
Where do you live..?? Reason I ask is because when I moved here to the Phoenix valley, I was told that because of the heat a battery would last 1.5 or 2 years at most,, thought everyone was exaggerating but they weren't... Shovel's on it's third, so's the big bike, sugar-butts 80 is on it's second, that's almost 6 years.. 911's on it's second 7 year battery...
Yup, checked all the charging systems... Oh yeah,, re-chargeable tool batteries,, Ha, forget about it...

frisco has a point about the climate you live in. My original battery lasted 7yr's and i'm beginning my 3rd year on my 2nd battery and i've owned my evo since Aug of 96. I live in the northeast.
