Smile Single fire ignition and Dual plug heads

A while back I had a post I was using to research utilizing the SE dual plug heads on my Sporty properly (the original owner had not done anything about using both plugs).
So, after some feedback and some research, here is what I ended up with:
Crane Hi-4 single fire ignition with adjustable rear cylinder and rev limiter - Drag Specialties part number DS-242312
Accel Super Coils (standard dual fire type) - J&P Cycles part number 381-352
Revtech wires and standard Harley plugs

The Ignition is wired so that the rear cylinder wire is on one coil and the front cylinder wire is on the other coil, each coil firing the dual plugs in the respective cylinder.

Let me tell you, the motor cracks to life now like you wouldn't believe! No spitting or popping, literally gets about one revolution and it's running. I haven't had it on the dyno yet, but I am convinced it has made a significant difference in power.

I had a custom bracket fabricated so the coils are side by side hanging from the original bracket under the ignition switch, the bright yellow coils hanging out wide look pretty cool under the new fat bob gas tank.

I don't know who to thank for the advice because the thread has disappeared and it was some time ago. So whoever it was, give youself a pat on the back!

Sounds like a great setup DR. You also are riding one of my favorite bikes. Got any pics?

Talking Pics

Here is a pic of the Sporty after a complete frame up rebuild over the winter, still missing a couple of things, but rideable.

Converted to chain drive to get a wider tire on rear, plus you can't buy a blue belt!
Powder coated eveything that didn't get painted or chromed.
As normal...it's a work in progress!

Talking Coils and wires

Here is a pic of the coils and wires, basically stock mounting location, just side by side. Would have looked a bit silly with the stock tank, but works well with the fat tank.
