Default Harley Alarm Issue

I was speaking with a couple of people staying at my hotel here in Milwukee for Harley's 105th anniversary.

One told me he couldn't turn off his bike alarm with the key fob using the standard techniques. Seems there are too many other Harleys right around his also with alarms and he was told the key fob sender got confused as to which bike to communicate with.

He said he waited till most of the bikes had left and then his system worked.

Could this be true?

The signal should be unique to his own bike. Geez if it is the case I guess Cell Phones would have the same problem.........

Probably just a weak battery in the fob.
