I only have experience installing a PCIII USB on my '06 Low Rider. It has been running great with security system intact since. I havn't had any problems to date. I have never heard of that problem on any forum before. That doesn't mean it can't happen. It just means that I've never heard of it.

well if any one didnt see what happened to me as it played out on these pages then to bad its gone and lost forever, quick post; it did shut down, and it was due to me taking the battery out when i did the install, so be aware and do it without disconecting the battery, and also beware of pinching wires in the tight area behind the electrical box when you reinstall it, i pinched the antenna wires to the keyfob security system antenna and could only get the bike started by having the key fob less than a foot away from the seat of the bike, and i had a code (b1145) antenna wire short open, and the wires had to be fixed to get the code to clear now its up and running fine.
