Are they repairable? Do new ones need to be put in my screamin eagle dyna 2007 has quit working. Is it possibly a loose connection or is it shot and any ways of checking it would be great ?

You are on the right track; check all your wiring before you decide it's DOA.

I'm trying to remember how mine installed on the Softail, I think the wires ran from the gas gauge to a connector behind the dash/speedo. Your Dyna should be similar.

Most likely that you lost a good ground connection. If you have a service manual, you can trace the wiring diagram & know where to meter for 12VDC.


Oh, and I'm pretty sure the standard answer on repairing these is "Buy a new one."
