Try to make your own cables. You can get the ends at a auto parts store and solder them to some correct size cable you can get at a Home Depot store.Stock cables may not flex enough and vibration is causing them to losen

I'd get some star washers, with inside and outside lugs. That way, the bolt locks to the cable, and the cable locks to the battery terminal. If you make up cables, be sure to solder correctly. I have seen cable ends with the star washer made on it. Done right, it's great. Done wrong, and yer sittin on the side of the road. Usually in the rain.

HI ultra and94flhcu. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I had some battery cables made up at a bike shop called c&t cycles. But i didn't take the old cables with me, big mistake. WE went by what the book called for, you geussed it, they were too long but i got them to work. Old cables are 13" long. Book said 13& 14" which is not correct. Haven't had time to ride much to see if this fixs problem. Thank for the help.
