Default confusing variables...?

I'm new here so I hope this is the place to be. I think my prob is in mapping, but variables are confusing. Any thoughts..?
It started on a lean into corners at first. My 2004 RoadKing with Reinhart racing exhaust and a power commander ecm after being on the bike for about a year and a half, would cut out and show check engine light, and battery light. But it would pick back up and continue running as if it's momentum was a factor in stabilizing the engine to run. (maybe not, probably not) Now the bike will do this problem at any speed, rpm, and position. The head lamp starts to dim, check lights come on, exhaust backfires,( as in a brief cut out of electronics.) Also will do it from a cold start while it,s stand is down. Re-map is what i think,,,,but....?

Joe, is it like someone turned off the key?
There is a lean angle kill switch that if the bike fall over it kills the bike.
Heard stories if those coming loose, and doing funky things like this.
Maybe Ace or Quick will jump in here.
Oh yea welcome to the zoo;-)

From what I remember about this, the switch would come loose, and caused the problem at any angle.
But it was like turning the switch off.
Then the switch would vibrate straight again and run.
But this is just a guess, and I don't even remember where the switch was.

Thanks Harley Cruiser, I'll get the book out again and locate it. I've been somewhat lazy in the off weather , but it's becoming that time of year and that's usually my motivation to hit things hard(er). All common thought has said ecm, but something just hasn't let me go there, that's what the variables say to me anyway. AND IF YOU AND HOPEFULLY i ARE CORRECT i WILL POST OR MESSAGE YOU TO LET YOU KNOW THIS.

Hey Joe
HC certainly brings up a good suggestion for a check. I just read that section in Donny's first book. The earliest Twin Cams 99 and 2000 had a chronic problem with the bracket holding the emrgency angle sensor coming loose and the sensor flopping around and thinking you dropped the bike and then shutting it down. He says the problem was fixed but you never know if one could still come loose.
Another possibility. A freind with an 05 Road King had a similar problem that turned out to be in the ignition after he installed an after market tach/speedo combo. His lights also dimmed and the warning lights came on before the bike quit. He took the new guage set off and the problem went away.

Good luck

On an 04 Road King the bank angle sensor is part of the TSM (or TSSM w/security) Your problem sounds more like a wire rubbed through & grounding out intermittently.

If it was the TSSM, the digital speedo would read "TIP." It would not restart without the bike being turned off first.

It sounds like a loose ground or battery connection if you ask me.

I was only stating where the bank angle sensor was for that particular bike, not that I believe thats where the problem lies.
