Default hdi position lamp harness

hey guys,

Gonna install a set of auxiliary lights on the new bike (2009 FLHX). Looking to get a hot lead with ignition on. Stumbled onto an HDI Position Lamp harness which consists of a hot and a ground. Its in the same harness as the headlight. Orane/white wire and a black ground. Anyone familiar with these wires? The orange and white wire runs back through the left and right handlebar control harness. What the hell is a position lamp? I could just tap in to power but trying to find an open lead I can use. I figured the harness would be the same as the Ultra or the Standard which both have auxiliary lighting just cant seem to find the wires. Maybe the harness is different. Botz

Botz,
The spotlamp wires are grey & are in a 2 position Amp connector somewhere near the turn signal connector.
The position light is required in Europe & other overseas markets,it's usually located inside the headlamp ass'y over the main bulb.

Thanks Ace. Dont know if the 09 harness is different but cant seem to find the black/grey wires. I have the manual which does show them but there not where there supposed to be on the bike. I was considering using the position light power lead to run the spots. Thanks. MIke
