Are you finding a lot of debris on the sensor when you clean it? I haven't encountered this particular malady....yet but a transmission oil change while it's good and warm and flows well, then a second change 500/1000 miles later, again warm might purge whatever grunge is causing the problem.
Also, and I hope I'm wrong, this much of a quantity of debris or filings in the trans points to the need for trans repairs by a competent wrench.
Welcome to the forum, I hope you get the problem resolved. Ride safe and God bless, Sincerely: Shovelmike.

I'm new here also, been lurkin for a bit, but now I'm looking for answers for the same problem..
I have an 01 E-Glide Classic on loan to me for a few months. it's a plot with my brother in socal to convince my wife we realllllly need one of these...
I ride an indian and my wife rides a Vstar... The last HD I had was an EVO just like the Indian, so all this twinkee electricks are another language to me.

The E Glide's speedo starting going wacko, so I cleaned out the sensor. It wasent bad at all. But that got it working till it warmed up and then quit. Now nada... i've heard that a bad sensor (or pickup) also affects the self canceling on the blinkers, which arnt working either now..
I've been seaching for a way to test the sencor ?? Looks like 12 v in + ground and trigger ??? I'm waiting to talk to a friend tomorrow, but it seems to me I should be able to put power and a ground to it, run a screwdriver or somthin buy the sensor and see if it works ???????
