Re: 05 DELUXE fuel gauge shows full Either the float is stuck or the wire is grounded. Pull the wire loose at the sender, with the ignition on it should read empty/ touch it to ground it should read full- this verifies that the gauge is working properly, visually check the wire..it is common for them to get pinched under a panel or chafe against the frame. If the above fails to produce anything pull the sender, sometimes it hangs up on the hoses in the tank (fuel injected). Sometimes the mechanism itself fails to operate freely...attach the wire...raise and lower the float and verify that the gauge needle behaves accordingly. Let us know how it goes.
