Default Headlamps inop and high beam light staying on

1st time posting so bare with me. Own a 01 Road King that I just did a SE Stage 3 on. Everything went well except that after hooking everything back I have no headlights and my high beam light on the console is staying on. Also I have no brake lights. Although I do hear the relay clinking. Have went back thru and checked all connections under console and under gas tank. Could this be a ground issue or a hot wire issue? I do have passing lights and when I switch to the high beam on the switch the passing lights go off like they're supposed to. I did have the right floor board off close to the foot brake solenoid. Would that have anything to do with it? When it comes to mechanics I'm OK. But when it comes to electronics, I'm a lost ball in the high weeds. Hope someone can help. I'm anxious to get out and ride.

Default Re: Headlamps inop and high beam light staying on

After checking all the connections, I've come to the conclusion that it's the hi/lo headlight switch. I've never seen a switch go bad. This bike had been in Miami Florida for the biggest portion of its life and I think the salt air has taken its toll. I've already had to replase the start button and the on/off when the starter just engaged while cruising down the road. Hope this info helps someone that has the same problem.
