Default Old knuckle and pan

Thought y'all might enjoy these two old pieces of iron. The owner of the local dealer restored these.

He and I rode together, years ago. He took a job as the service manager of the local dealer in the late 70's. When the owners sold out, he and his brother bought them and put the dealership in a storefront, in the early 80's. The posters on the wall are pictures of his dad and mom on their old Harleys. His dad's name was Buck and mom's name was Minnie. The store is called Buckminns, in their honor.

H-D took off, and now they have a nice dealership out by the highway. He loves the old iron and recently completed the restoration of this 1947 knucklehead. The panhead is a 1948 model.

Took these pictures the other day...notice the attractive model in the red shirt.

Nice bikes. The 1948 Panhead looks a lot like what my Crustoration must have looked like when new. Thanks for sharing.

I prefer the Pan,myself.
Meanwhile can't help noticing that both of the bikes shown appear to have "Tru-Duals" vs "Cross-Over" or single muffler.
