Default Sturgis Evo Tear Down Part2

Heads / Jugs off

Another View

Pile of parts on the bench

Seems I missed a few pics like rocker box, heads and jug removal, Oh well...not an expert picture guy. Sending out jugs tomorrow to go 5 over. Also toying with the idea of buying brand new jugs from HD. Gonna freshen up the heads, new seals, etc.

Will rebuild carb while waiting on that. Just spotted a crack in my rear fender so i will be replacing that too. Thats it Buzz. For now. Botz

Hey thanks for sharing. I can't get enough of this stuff and always enjoy seeing how others do it.

Always loved the look of the black Sturgis bikes with the red stripes.

Good luck.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

Hey all,

Thanks for the positive feedback. One thing I have to mention...I have a heavy hand. Im a professional bolt breaker. There is no bolt that I cant snap off with ease...lol. Today was a good day. Didnt break anything. Patience is the key. Nice relaxing day in the garage. Good tunes, a few frosty ones and my bike. Should have it back together by next week. Ill snap off a few more shots. Later. Botz

Default Hey Botzman

Is that other bike in the corner of the first pic a recent project?. It looks like a fresh paint job on it.
cheers!
