Anything you do to your bike that's remotely involved is a project. It can be 15 minutes or 15 years (as is the case with at least one project that I'm close to finishing -- I hope.) As long as you're out in the garage, or wherever, and you're surrounded by tools, engaged in an affort to make your ride better (somtimes this can backfire), then you are in the midst of a project. Big or small, you're giving it your best. That's the idea anyway. So go tinker and toil, and please try not to mess the whole thing up.

BTW, enquiring minds will certainly want to know that Adam's latest project, which he curiously failed to mention, is a Sportster trike. Due date, July 2008. From then on Adam will be the three-wheeled king. I'll even offer him a crown.
Sam and Adam, are you two married or what?

Hey Frisco-Rigid,

I love your dig at Adama but what the hell is, "Finding my butt with both hands at 3pm at the Ruidoso Run...?" Sounds interesting, if a little dicey. If you can translate for those not down with the lingo, please, go nuts.

My pleasure Sam

Ruidoso for me is a drinkin weekend.. Sooo, it can sometimes be a project just finding my butt etc. etc. etc..
The sickles are locked, the cooler is full and the chairs arranged in the motel parking lot to enjoy the parade of bikes that drag main all day and night.. Better than TV..!

When in Ruidoso I should be several sheets in the wind by 3pm in the afternoon that is, if not too much riding will be necessary cuz with the crack-down on a wee bit of adult likker and riding it's just no fun getting a heat-on and playing anymore..
Good thing I'm old so at least I have some good memories to carry me through..

My buddies will tell you. That it's any bike that I own. They don't talk about my new bike. It's, "His new project." Even if it's zero mile, brand new out of the crate.

"Project"?
How 'bout buying a '52 Pan (peiced-together hunka...) and deciding to take it back to how it was when it left the factory? Now that's a "project"...!
But it's long-term. I guess that makes it a pro-o-o-o-ject.
Sometimes just getting my gear together for a couple weeks on the road can be a 'project'.........
