Whats wrong with a yamaha on this forum??? there is a section for 'other' bikes..... I am interested in any custom bike that is built by an individual, or even a shop!!!
Anyone that has actually tried to build a bike knows that what ever the bike is, it takes skill, time, and effort to build. I respect that.
Maybe there arent a zillion harley's laying around Sweden like we have here.... so that leaves what ever is out there to ride and one can afford...

In another forum that is open to all bike brands, and has a lot of builds going on, mostly of other brands, here is my signature that pretty much sums up my opinion on non HD real customs.

“When I was younger I was a Harley snob, now that I know better, I have more respect for someone willing to make a bike out of nothing than for someone who walks into a dealership and plunks down a fist full of cash for a bike that will never get dirty and turns his nose up at anyone not riding his brand.”

This a nice build, and I enjoy seeing it.

i knows this is not a harleybuild.. but i you like med like bikebuilds. you will enjoy it =)
If we can look at an OCC electric what is wrong with you posting a home build custom? I personally would rather see the ingenuity from a home builder than some drama queen shop doing a bike many of us cannot afford or want to ride. I would like to see more pics of the build and finished bike. Most of us here on the forum know what it takes to build a bike from a doner, and I think we can all appreciate the time and effort involved in this build. Keep building and keep riding!!!

What's up with you guys? I'm builiding on "a frickin chinese" and no one complains, and this guy build as chopper around a not so expected powerplant, a sport bike Yamaha. Getting soon a Yamaha TZR 125-83 twostroker (without a engine) for free. And that's the next project for me. Will be a trike build up this time, with a serous fourstroke in it. Yes. It will certainly not stay as a stock bike. Getting it on Friday if all goes as planned.

Sweden is actually probably no 1 in Europe on amounts of harleys per 1000 persons, even if they are expensive to buy, but a sporty is not more expensive than some $10.000 (78000 SEK something last year) to buy brand new for a basic 883 model. Big Twins are of couse more expensive but not so horrific as many want to make it to. Harley is to be true one of the biggest sellers in Sweden, exceeding some of japs together in figures. And cheaper here than some jap competitor bikes actually. So harley is an household name here too. And it stand here for quality and very reliable high end quality bikes.

His helmet was pretty freaky though...........

hi there guys . nice to see that people have opinions =). and nice to see that most people here has the ability to spot a nice build when they see one =)

i will see if i can take the time to post some more pics on the yamha. have been busy completing my supermoto racebike and plan a tripp to a bikedesignfare in milano for a bikefuilderforum that i have some hands in.

but some info can be done =)

the only thing stock in the yamaha is the frame the enginge and the clutch master cylinder .

then we have

tl1000r forks
6 piston calipers
suzuki wheels,
aluminuim fuelcell
fibreglass shell that looks like a tank,
customized yamaha r6 tail.

and a whole lot more.

thank for your interest anyway.
