Any oil cooler is better than none! I recommend Jagg because they have baffles inside the tubes to keep the oil flowing evenly through them. They also make the oil cooler H-D sells in thier accessories catalog. Said catalog has a good description about said baffles.
Lockhart Philips coolers just have plain tubes.
If you are riding in cold weather you will want a device to either by-pass or cover up the cooler. Too cool can do harm too.
Oil is designed to operate best at specific temperature ranges.
In cold weather a cooler can make your oil take way too long to reach proper temperature.
