| | Oil Level - Upright or Stand I have an 06 Ultra and would like to simply check the oil levels....
HD Manual - says on the side stand
Dealer - says stood upright
Service Tech - says side stand
Chuck in Parts - says stood upright
Chilton Manual - says side stand
My Buddy - says jiffy stand
Wife - Says shut-up and could care less
Me - I just want the right amount of oil in the bike.
So I will take a poll - Can and do you check the fluids once warm from the side stand or from the bike being stood upright? Sorry for the hassle and thanks in advance for you answers. |

| | Re: Oil Level - Upright or Stand Side stand. I hardly see how you could check the oil sitting on the bike holding it upright.

So both are right, depends on year. Quote:

| | Re: Oil Level - Upright or Stand Either way, it doesn't really matter. There's a 'full' mark and a 'low' mark. Don't let it get below the 'low' mark. |
