Default oil change intervals

I change at 8500 miles with a water jacket on the bike. On the HD air ride I likes to change every 5000 miles and change the **** shifter liquid every other oil change with moby1 75/145. Just how does you post a pic on this here site?

Default Re: Syn 3 oil change intervals

I use Syn 3. Never had a problem or issue with it but I've never run my oil change intervals out to 5k. Depending on heat, humidity and how hard I've been riding I'll change out at 4k but most of the time I'll change at the 3k to 3,500 mile interval. I use Trans Plus in the trans and primary. I change all the fluids at the same interval. Frisco provided excellent info on oil tests a while back. I just use what I know and try and treat my air cooled engine well.

I see others doing this as well (some with the Amsoil equivilent), I'm wondering....why not just use the syn3 in the tranny as well ?

FWIW, while visiting my son out in Colorado this past week I stopped into "The Denver Knuckle Company" ie Mad Dog cycles, Conifer, Co. They use Amsoil 20w50 in everything ...engine , tranny and primary.
