Default Jagg or Baker

If you wanted to reduce oil temp which would do a better job. The Jagg 10 row cooler or a Baker Plus 1 oil pan (would run with 5 qts).

Any thoughts????

Both are good choices but approach the issue in different ways.

Hi Od

I am a believer in Oil Coolers rather than Volume..

When I ran the full 5.5+ qts. my Alum. oil bag holds my oil retained more heat..
Putting in only 4 qts. reduced my oil temp & made it easier for my oil coolers to keep it down..

Lil side-note..
Over the years, on the hottest days we've ridden our standard daily 50 mile errand/commute (116*), our oil temps stay under 185*..
That's with Coolers..

You might want to look into the thermastat as well. My cooler only flows thru when it reaches a certain temp. when its cold, it bypasses the cooler to warm up the engine and also run better when its cold out.

Installed a Jagg on my '07 Softail. Lowers temps by 10 degrees plus.

Also try a GOOD syn., oil like Amsoil MCV 20W50 as it will help to keep oil temps down on it's own and with a oil cooler work even better.

Bill I started to be a smart a$$ and say "You live in SoCal, it don't get cold there" But I came through your town going to Hemet back several years ago on Easter weekend and the ground was covered in that white stuff I see on the news but don't experience anymore The snow went about half way down Lambs Canyon. I live in AZ and I have a thermostat on mine

Take care
