Hey Frisco. Glad you're still kicking. I lube my neck bearings every 5k. Like Nukeguy I put a 90 degree zert in as the one that came with the bike caused me to get more grease on the bike than in the neck. My bike is coming up on 50k. I'll disassemble, replace the bearings and races and repack then. I think that is what H-D calls for in the service manual. Have a great one. Clif

You can buy a sideways grease fitting for your grease gun. I got mine off a tool truck.

Hi, I isedta be BluesFan.

Dwight, don't worry too much about the $10 a tube. It'll take most of it to fill the neck the first time, then just a few shots ongoing.

I tried to find out what was "special" about the specced grease and couldn't, so
I convinced the dealer it existed.

Now if I could only remember who I loaned my gun to....
