Default Buzz's Dual-Carb Panhead Lives!

After a lot of hassels with a cracked and broken case on my 1949 Panhead project bike (featured in American Iron Magazine last year) we finally got it rebuilt on back on the road. Yesterday was my first ride on her ever! Now I have been planning and collecting parts for this bike for over 6 years, so I was really looking forward to this first ride. What a blast! I loved it and will be writing about it in the pages of AIM soon. Hat's off to masterwrench Pete Orlando for bilding such a sweet looking and running machine. This could become my favorite bike ever. Now I have to get few hundred miles on it to see how everything holds up on this 1949 antiqe bobber.

Bad news. I was riding it like I stole it recently when I discovered this engine is cursed. BIG problems. Read all about it in the November issue of American Iron Magazine. And no, it's not for sale cursed or not.

Too bad, BUZZ. I have faith you'll get it back on the road.
Your post reminded me of my uncles back in the 70's cursing and throwing wrenches while working on their panheads. Eventually they disappeared - roaring off into the night. A good wrench and patience will get any pan thumping out its distinctive roar.

You mean, blood, sweat and gears. How was the case repaired? Liquid metal (ol school way) or didja weld it or replace it.

BTW, I would love to read about it, if I ever get my already late issue.
