Default Corbin Experience

Hi y'all.....Just to tell my story about my first corbin seat. Well bought a 2007 Street Glide about 6 months ago and as usual I change harley's seat for another more confortable one. This time around decided to go with corbin and called them up to purchase a Dual Tour seat. I did mention to the rep at corbin that I had the chopped tour pack on my bike installed and wanted to make sure it fit to which he said shouldn't be a problem. Well ordered the seat it did take about 3 weeks to arrive and when i got it it did not fit my bike because i had installed the saddlebad guards. So called them up and they said that since that was optional equipment they could not be held responsible. after arguing with them for a while, and admitting that when i ordered the seat it was not specified by me, they offered options. well these options were all going to cost money on top of the 500 dollars for the seat and shipping costs and so forth so i decided to fix the problem myself. did that which wasn't a big deal. well winter came through and i stored my bike. I am in El Paso texas where it really does not get that cold so feb around its time to prepare my bike for some riding. When i got my seat the tour pack was not on the bike since it is removable and i take it off to cruise around town. I finally went to install the tour pack to find that corbin seat does not accomodate my tour pack at all. the modification here would be nearly impossible. i specifically told the rep when i purchased the seat about having a tour pack. again called Corbin and they said they would call me back. 4 days went by no call so i called them and of course the answer was that they could not help me in this matter. the person on the phone (tony) said that the rep that sold me the seat would call me but he did not anticipate a different answer. Needless to say I am very dissapointed with my experience. Corbin's seats are somewhat expensive and they apparently fall short when it comes time to back their products.

Just my two cents in order to avoid some other fellow rider falling into that trap.

Default Thanks

Thanks, Toplabels, for sharing you experience. I have equipped two of my bikes with Mustang seats. I find them to be great looking, comfortable, and durable at a price somewhat lower than Corbin. I have not had any cause to test their customer service. Sincerely: Shovelmike.

I have experience with two seat companies:

Mustang (current): Seat is amazingly comfortable. It's like taking your lazy-boy out for a ride. Haven't had need of their customer service.

La Pera: Outstanding seat (but not nearly as comfy). One of the best looking seats out there, IMHO. Very personal customer service. Mr. LaPera's daughter actually picked up the phone when I called the first time, and they were always very nice and very helpful.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

Have you guys bought anything from J&P....WOW is all I have to say they are just incredible with their customer service. How about HOGPRO...they sell wheels and other stuff...another WOW for them unbelievable customer service.

Ohhh by the way Corbin never returned my call!!!! Thats how much htey care about their fellow customers!!@@#$%%^^

Did you guys hear about the lady that sewed Best Buy for 54 million dollars because they lost her lap top and got the run around for 3 months???? Telling you..... people do get fed up of businesses pushing consumers around....good for her!!

Not the first bad experience I've read about Corbin over the years! However, I love their seats and find them to be just what I like, hard but no pressure points, therefore very comfortable. I don't care much for the sofa feel of other seats. But yeah, their customer service stinks!
