| | HD Windshields - Hi or Lo? I have installed a shorter windshield on my bagger - not the tiny ones, but mid size. And my pal Jim runs one of the very low ones.
What's the deal with these very low shields? They don't seem to do much for protection on the road - is it simply a fashion thing? |

| | Personally, I like my windshield height just about level with my eyes when I am sitting on the bike. If I want some fresh air I sit up a bit straighter. If its raining I slump down a bit behind the shield.
I have never understood the really tall or really short ones. But that's just me. |

| | I have a Clearview 14" recurve on my Ultra - my wife likes the height because it doesn't buffet her around. I can also put Rain-X on it - so I can see through it - like yesterday when it rained on me because I was out riding in the 82 degree weather 365-24-7....

| | I like it just below my eyes, too. One thing I don't understand is the ultra tall windshields. It seems like you'd want to get rid of the distortion, etc caused by the windshield, and not have to look through the thing.

| | There is no distortion on the Clearview windshield.............sometimes you need to sacrifice for the wife........if I don't I don't get the goodies I "need' - compromise is the key here...it's only..... or I need it because ........ her comfort becomes truly important...

| | I always buy a tall one. If it's too high, a glass dealer can cut it down for just a few buck.
You can always shorten a tall one, but you add height to one that's too short. | | | |
